Review~Saga Vol 4 by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples

Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. As they visit a strange new world and encounter even more adversaries, baby Hazel finally becomes a toddler, while her star-crossed parents Marko and Alana struggle to stay on their feet.

Warning as it contains Spoilers!

Continuing from Vol 3 after the famous author Oswald Heist got killed by Prince Robot IV. The main focus is a complicated marriage life between Marko and Alana from financial problems where Alana has to be in an acting job and the absence of Alana causes Marko to seek a companionship from another woman, Ginny while still being on the run. I love how this story progresses under Hazel’s point of view and leaves cliffhangers that leaves me wanting more, especially on the ups and downs of Alana’s and Marko’s marriage life.

We also have a subplot of Prince Robot IV being missing for a long time yet has been found in a predicament while his child had been born along with an unwelcoming visitor that causes his child to go missing as well.
This volume has sensitive imagery and subjects such as violence, murder, blood, drug use and kidnapping.

This comic series has manage to continue the flow of the story and still bring tension, shock and drama that makes it an exciting journey without overdoing it. Like the main characters, the characters that has been introduce has there own personalities and quirks that makes them stand out and there part of story is just as important as the main characters.

I shall continue the series as quickly as possible as the story is becoming very interesting and as usual it ended with a cliffhanger that causes me to want to know more.
